Mobile phones allow us to do that while traveling, commuting, or are otherwise engaged. There are too many football apps to count, but we will do our best to compile a list of some of the finer apps you can use to follow the greatest sport.

FIFA

Who better to tell you the latest news and lineups of football than FIFA itself? While the association has many apps, including FIFA Integrity, designated to report any wrongdoings by a club or member, our attention is on the apps that tell us what is going on in the sport. So far, there is only the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ Official App, meaning that you cannot follow the men’s teams and clubs. Still, an interesting app that is free and has a high level of customer satisfaction.

ESPN

If you are in North America and are interested in this fine sport, ESPN is the way to go. The app is not focused entirely on football, so you can check out the events in major leagues of various sports, including basketball, the American football, baseball, and others. The app is free, though it does have a subscription option. A word to the wise – the app is aimed at the American audience, so don’t be surprised if the majority of news and stats are about American teams.

Feedly

This app is not exactly designed to live stream matches. Rather, it is an RSS app, meaning that it is connected to blogs, YouTube channels, and social media posts, so you can browse the web on information, news, and opinions of people online. The app is free, with no in-app purchases, which is a rarity these days. Make sure you set it up so that it can give you only the information you are looking for.

OneFootball

One of the most trusted apps on the market brings you immediate updates and news about the teams, clubs, and players around the world. If you are looking for lineups, schedules, and statistics, consider downloading OneFootball. It is focused on American football, but you can still get a decent amount of data from it.

FotMob

One of the highest-rated football apps in the Google Store, FotMob is designed to bring you the freshest bits of information about your favorite football stars and their clubs. There is Live-text commentary, lineups, audio commentary, more than 200 competitions, and the favorites tab that allows you to get the news about your own club.

Forza

Last, but not least, is Forza Football. It is free, though it does come with ads. It is suitable for those that are interested in Women’s football as well. The app gives you an alarm to remind you of more important events, it comers over 400 leagues around the world and gives you instant updates and scores that are reliable.
